Hi!

I’m the new PR Executive Intern here at Five not 10, and I’m so excited to be part of the team. I’m heading into my final year studying PPE (that’s Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, not personal protective equipment, although… I do love a good acronym).

Writing has always been my happy place, whether it’s long essays at university, creative pieces, or just random thoughts in my Notes app at 2am. I knew I wanted to explore a space where I could put that passion to work in a real-world, creative environment.

That’s what drew me to PR, and even more so, to Five not 10. I love how the brand speaks with intention, how everything has meaning, and how storytelling is treated as a powerful tool. I wanted to be part of that. So here I am, ready to learn, grow, and probably overthink everything (in a good way). Want to get to know me better? Here are five things to start with:

1) Writing is my not-so-secret superpower

Let’s just say if my degree were a sport, writing would be the marathon. PPE keeps me constantly thinking, analysing, and most of all, typing. And as much as that sounds intense (which, to be fair, it is), I love it. There’s something about putting thoughts into words and making them resonate with people that I find powerful. It’s also why PR felt like the perfect next step; I get to write with purpose and creativity and see the impact it makes.

2) My Rubik’s Cube collection is a thing

This one always surprises people, but yes, I collect Rubik’s Cubes. Not just the standard 3x3 (although I have plenty of those), but the whole chaotic family: mirror cubes, pyramids, even ones shaped like little clocks. It started as a random challenge during school and somehow turned into a full-on collection. Some people call it nerdy… I call it meditative problem-solving.

There’s something oddly satisfying about taking something scrambled and making sense of it. Kind of like turning our clients’ complex messages into something simple.

3) Still figuring out who I am – but loving the journey

I’m the kind of person who always has ten ideas bouncing around at once, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether I’m brainstorming campaign captions, organising my colour-coded to-do list, or rewatching Friends for the fifth time, I like to keep things moving.

I’d say I’m a mix of organised chaos, sarcastic commentary, and very strong snack opinions (chocolate > crisps, sorry). But mostly, I’m someone who’s curious about people, about stories, and about how brands connect with the world.

4) Why Five not 10? Because it’s different

When I discovered Five not 10, something just clicked. It felt like more than just a brand; it felt like a space where values meet creativity and where simplicity isn’t just something that's preached.  I didn’t want an internship where I’d be making coffees or sitting quietly in the corner.

I wanted to actually do things, learn from people who care about their craft, and contribute to something that feels fresh and purposeful. From day one, that’s exactly what this has been.

5) I’m obsessed with sports (and very competitive)

Whether it’s football, tennis, or even a random game of rounders, I’m always up for it. I’ve grown up loving the energy of sports, and I bring that same drive and competitiveness into everything I do. I don’t just want to take part; I want to win or at least give it my best shot.

I think that mindset carries over into how I approach PR too: I like thinking strategically, staying focused, and working as part of a team to get results. Also, yes, I will absolutely turn a friendly brainstorm into a competition if no one stops me.
